Frequently Asked Questions
What is OnlyScience?
OnlyScience is a personal research library for medical literature. Search a topic and OnlyScience reads the matching papers with AI, turning them into structured study cards you can browse, filter, and cite. It goes beyond cards: briefs summarize the research on your topics and email you weekly updates as new studies are published. It is the ideal tool for doctors who want to stay up to date with the science, and for anyone who wants to take control of their own health.
Where does the research come from?
Every paper is a peer-reviewed study from the published medical literature. OnlyScience processes the studies you choose and links each finding back to the original publication, so you can always check a claim against its source.
Does OnlyScience use Reddit, YouTube or blog posts?
No. OnlyScience reads only peer-reviewed medical literature. Comment threads, blog posts, podcast transcripts and social media are never sources for a study card or a brief.
Can I trust the AI summaries?
Each study card is built only from the paper it cites, and every card links to the original publication so you can check it yourself. If a claim is not in the paper, it is not on the card.
How much does it cost?
You get free credits when you sign up. Processing new papers uses credits, and you can buy more or subscribe when you need a bigger library. Your existing library stays accessible either way.
What are weekly briefs?
Briefs are automated research updates. Pick the topics you care about, and every week OnlyScience checks for new papers and emails you a short summary. You can edit a brief or unsubscribe from the emails at any time.
Who is OnlyScience for?
Doctors who want to stay current, researchers screening literature, and anyone who prefers primary sources over headlines. No medical background is required.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your library, briefs, and account details are private to your account, and we never sell your data. Email support@onlyscience.ai with any privacy question, including requests to delete your data.
Is this medical advice?
No. OnlyScience is for education and research. It summarizes published studies; it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare provider.
How current is the research?
Thousands of new medical studies are published every day. You can process a topic again whenever you want the latest research, and weekly briefs check your topics for new studies automatically.
